The federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), signed into law in 2014, puts a significant emphasis on serving transition age youth, students with disabilities and out-of-school youth; through training and services that are employer driven and linked to labor market demand.

This webinar will provide an introduction into the changes in the WIOA law, and begin the first of a series of discussions on how service providers who plan to serve these populations are impacted.

Our webinar presenter, Christine Johnson, M.A. Ed. CRC, of, will be providing a brief overview of planning for transition per WIOA, and proceed to give an introduction for a series of ARPCT webinar sessions on implementation of transition services.  Christine has over 25 years of experience in vocational rehabilitation and provides technical assistance and continuing education services.

Webinar attendees will have the opportunity to share thoughts and ideas for positioning their transition services; and maximizing the use of the ARPCT library of e – learning provided by Skillsoft for assisting in the transition process.
