RESOURCE Career Education was awarded the 2016 ARPCT Program of the Year Award for its new FIRST STEP Training Courses. The courses open the employment doors for more individuals with barriers while helping employers fill the growing numbers of entry level positions they have open within their companies. They were designed in conjunction with Vocational Rehabilitation Services policies in serving individuals with increased barriers and limited experience. The FIRST STEP courses bring together technical skills, interpersonal skills and industry recognized credentials making its participants employable. They are also designed specifically for the first-time job seekers or individuals looking for entry-level employment! First Step training courses are short-term, single-course training options.
The courses are as follows:
First Step Restaurant to Retail Training – 52 hours of classroom instruction
This training course includes two industry-recognized credentials and curriculum designed to prepare individuals for successful employment in either the food industry or the retail environment.
First Step Cleaning Pro Training – 52 hours of classroom instruction
This training course includes two industry-recognized credentials and curriculum designed to prepare individuals for successful employment in the custodial industry.
Paid On-the job Training is an available option following the completion of the classroom training.
