Computer Technologies Program 2002 Addison St. Website: www.ctpberk.org The Computer Technologies Program (CTP) has been promoting technology careers of people with disabilities in the Bay Area since 1975. CTP’s training programs are based on a business curriculum with real-world, hands-on assignments. Classes are always small and include one-on-one instructor consultation. Computer lab hours are extensive. A technical internship provides invaluable experience at the end of the students’ in-class training. Students are trained and placed in Bay Area companies as Software Developers, Computer Programmers, Office Systems Specialists, and more. CTP offers two training tracks. The Programmer Training class (10 months, including a six-week internship) prepares students for a variety of careers in Information Technologies. Graduates have been employed as Computer Programmers, Database Programmers, and Web Developers. The training includes Programming languages, Database programming and Web Design, as well as Business and Job Search and Job Retention skills. The Office Systems Training class (6 months, including a one-month internship) prepares students for careers as Office Systems Specialists, Administrative Assistants with a high level of computer knowledge. The training covers Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Databases, Office skills, and Business and Job Search and Retention skills. Both training programs have an outstanding placement record. At CTP, we are educators working in partnership with the disability community and the corporate world to turn the best and brightest into innovative, productive employees. Ultimately, though, our graduates' strong desire to succeed in the dynamic, competitive world of high technology drives their future of accomplishment.
