MRC, The Minnesota Resource Center, provides vocational opportunities for people with disabilities, people who are economically disadvantaged, and others who face special challenges. MRC offers a full range of services including Vocational Evaluation, Training, Placement and Employment Retention.

In the year 2002 MRC served a total number of 1,078 individuals. Of those individuals, 489 started one or more computer training classes. Eighty-four percent of those who started a class completed it successfully. An additional 126 consumers received one to one computer training.

MRC’s Training Services Program offers training in the following areas: Information Technology, Office Technology, Warehouse Operations, Maintenance/Custodial, One to One Customized Training and Adaptive Software.

The following courses are currently being offered at MRC:
Computer Technician (1300 Hours)
A+ Certification (240 Hours)
Office Careers (160 Hours)
Administrative Support (160 Hours)
Microsoft Skills (60 Hours)
Accounting Principles (27 Hours)
Maintenance/Custodial (360 Hours)
Warehouse Operations (94 Hours)
Adaptive Software (Dragon Naturally Speaking, JAWS and Zoom text)

All training program are registered with the Minnesota Higher Education Services Office, accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement and certified as a training provider under the federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA).
